"Frozen baked goods, which are in no way inferior to the high craftsmanship of the baker in terms of appearance and taste", according to the vision of baker Erwin Wolf, who laid the foundations for Wolf ButterBack in 1992 in a backyard garage in Stein near Fuerth.
The team, which started in the beginning with just 13 persons, was quickly pushed up in the following years: Meanwhile, 500 employees are responsible for the production and distribution of over 150 different frozen bakery products in more than 20 countries. The ground-breaking ceremony for the now third plant with a high-bay warehouse for 8,700 pallet spaces took place in October 2016, the opening of the plant is scheduled for spring 2018.
As soon as the six additional production lines start there, the workforce of the company – meanwhile part of the Dr. Oetker Group – will grow by further approx. 200 employees, according to CEO Axel Dirschner.
In the new building, 43 no. of highly heat-insulated HAHN louvre windows type Tairmo are installed by the metal construction company Saal from Thundorf, partly with manual operation by means of hand lever, partly with electric drive including integrated finger trapping protection safety.
The windows with widths of up to 2500 mm are used for natural ventilation and thus reduce energy costs - in line with Wolf ButterBack's energy management system, which requires active environmental and climate protection. Studies show that with louvre windows air exchange is possible up to 82% within a few minutes: CO2 out, pure oxygen in.
